Sheila M. Ramirez, has been teaching for 7 years, yet has been in the profession for 12 years through substituting throughout college. She graduated in the fall of 2010 from the University of Texas Pan American, with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a minor in English, which is her certification. In her first year, she taught at a charter school, where she was able to teach a variety of grade levels from 5th to 12th grade. She yearned to be back in the district that was her own foundation and was employed by ECISD in 2012. The bulk of her career she has been focused on the subjects English I and English II which prepares students for the End of Course STAAR state exam. She currently teachers at Johnny Economedes High School, English II PAP and Early College-STEM.
