Vanessa Vale- Saenz graduated from Johnny Economedes High School in 2005, as a three year graduate.  In 2008, she attended the University of Texas Pan American (UTPA) and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.  Also, Vanessa completed her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2011 from UTPA.  She is Licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Professional Counselors.  Vanessa is also a Certified Anger Resolution Therapist.  She is currently employed by Doctors Hospital at Renaissance where she holds the title of Outpatient Services Supervisor at their Behavioral Hospital.  Vanessa is tasked with supervising inpatient and outpatient therapist as well as assisting with program development and mental health expansions community-wide.  She currently sits on the Hospital's Grant Advisory Committee and recently accepted a part-time position as an Instructor for the Graduate Program in Clinical Psychology at Edinburg's University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) campus.  Vanessa has received advanced training in both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which has made her eligible for certification in these areas of practice.  She dedicates herself to helping promote the importance of mental and emotional wellness by advocating and educating members of the community about the benefits of early treatment and intervention.  In her professional career, Vanessa aspires to increase mental health awareness by helping others recognize the need for Mental Health Services in the Rio Grande Valley.  She would also like to help redirect the negative stigma associated with Psychiatric and Psychological wellness.  She intends to continue to provide the highest level of client care by delivering high quality, caring and compassionate services to her clients.
