Jaguar FFA Students Receive National Scholarship

Two seniors from Johnny G. Economedes High School were awarded the National FFA Scholarship on May 7, 2015 at the annual JEHS FFA Banquet.  The two JEHS scholarship recipients were Dario Salinas – FFA President and Marissa Luna – FFA Vice President.  This is the 31st year of the National FFA Scholarship program.  There were over 7000 students that applied this year and only 2152 recipients were given this award.  This Scholarship is based on FFA involvement, work experience, supervised agricultural experience (SAE), community service, leadership skill and overall academics. This a great accomplishment for Dario and Marissa and is a reflection of the positive impact of the JEHS FFA program.
