    Migrant Parent Meeting Financial Aid Information

    Parent Meeting Held on Thursday, January 27, 2010

  • The JEHS Migrant Program held the yearly migrant senior parent meeting on how to obtain money for college and what they need to have in order to fill out the FAFSA. Guillermo Avilez and Adan Trevino, the College Assistance Migrant Program Recruiters from UTPA and TSTC, visited with the parents about their programs.  Visit UTPA or TSTC to download the CAMP applications. 

     



    Reading is Fundamental - December 16, 2010


    The JEHS Migrant Program held their Reading is Fundamental (RIF) activity on Thursday,December 16th. The guest speaker was Mr. Antonio Ballesteros, JEHS Assistant Principal, who presented to a total of over 150 migrant students. He spoke to the students about making good choices in life.  Mr. Ballesteros obtained his bachelor’s degree from St. Edward’s University. Through St. Edward’s University, he was able to also participate in the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) his first year.  He encouraged the students to complete their high school education and pursue a college degree.
