WorkForce Solutions - Get a Job
Valley Youth WorkForce Development Program
Want to work and get paid? If you are in school, this program will pay for you to work a total of 120 hours.
If you know of anyone who is not attending school ages 14 to 21, this program will pay for 180 hours of work plus they will offer them much much more. All they have to do is contact the WorkForce Program at (956) 380-0008.
Youth, ages 14 to 21 can join the program if they have low income and:
- Have dropped out of school
- Are a teen parent or pregnant
- Are homeless, runaway or in foster care
- Come from a migrant family
- Are a juvenile offender
- Have a parent in prison
- Need special help with Math or Reading
It's about more than just getting a job. Case Managers will help you find your interests so that you can make good decisions about your future education and career goals. They will help you get the information and skills you need for personal success. Benefits may include:

FAFSA on the WEB
All seniors are encouraged to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA early on in the year in order to obtain funds to pay for tuition, fees, books, room and board. If the student applies early, the possibilities of obtaining more funds is greater.
